With over 30 years of experience as a much appreciated educator and teaching artist, Oxana Chi brings her positive energy and innovative pedagogy to all of her classes and workshops. Her personal approach to movement and body memory, enriched by travel and studies experiences in 40+ countries around the globe, always informs her teaching. Her unique strength is to develop and teach classes that are uplifting and relaxing at the same time. Students and workshop participants always leave class feeling a sense of harmony, and with a huge smile on their faces, so that she knows that she did a good job as a teacher!
Oxana Chi started her training in movement and performing arts at the young age of 6 years old. She started by learning Eurythmy, Bothmer gymnastic, Theater/Drama, Judo and Taichi in her country of birth Germany. (For more information on Oxana Chi’s studies and career as an artist, see her vita.)
She began teaching in 1985, while she was still a student at the Gymnastic School Weber Schule. Ever since, Oxana Chi has been teaching people of all ages and all backgrounds in the fields of jazz dance, contemporary dance, gymnastics, dance fitness, Tai chi (Tàijí quán), Qi Gong, Yoga, improvisation, dance-theater, West African Dance, movement meditation and her own Oxana Chi Fusion Style.
